Only found at high altitudes (from 10,000 to 17,000 feet) in India, Bhutan, and Sikkim. This tender, aromatic herb that is native to the mountains of India is grown for us by a small village of farms in the foothills of the Himalayas. The oil, from the rhizome, is greenish—brown, deeply scented unlike any other you have experienced.
As grounding oil, spikenard can be inhaled to soothe the mind and body. It is helpful in treating serious skin conditions such as psoriasis, athlete's foot, and other fungal infections. It helps in overcoming deep sadness. Sedative and relaxant, used for nervous indigestion and palpitations.
Good for dry or mature skin and reduces dandruff. As a part of incense used in many religious traditions. Helps to inspire devotion & add to inner peace. Useful in treating insomnia and migraines.
Note: Although remedial, people with major health ailments like cancer, or epilepsy should avoid use. Non—toxic, non—irritant, possible sensitization in some individuals. Not to be used while pregnant.
