Also Known As: Syrian Rue, African Rue.
Harmala has been use in Ayurvedic medicines since ancient times. It is a known antiviral and antibacterial. It has been used to treat disorders pertaining to the eyes. A natural anti—inflammatory, it can be used to stop swelling and irritations of the skin. In women it has been shown to increase the production of breast milk and aid in menstrual related ailments. When made into a poultice with mustard oil, it has been used to treat head lice. This amazing botanical even has sedative properties when digested and can be used to treat chest congestion.
