Aroma: Strong, warm, spicy, and sweet
The oil is obtained mainly from the celery seeds and flower heads, thought the entire plant produces it. The oil is fluid and pale yellow.
Celery Seed oil is soothing for those with nervous fatigue. Inhaled (during aromatherapy), it soothes respiratory infections and bronchitis. It is a diuretic, so it can help relieve premenstrual bloating. It is also an aphrodisiac. It may cause photosensitivity when used externally. Oil of crushed celery seeds is used to help indigestion, helping break down food, in herbal medicine in Asia.
Note: Although remedial, people with major health ailments like cancer, or epilepsy should avoid use. Non—toxic, non—irritant, possible sensitization in some individuals. Not to be used while pregnant.
